Victorian Oak Davenport, made by Balls & Co of 170 Oxford St London (see label), with four drawers to the RHS and four dummy drawers to the LHS. It is internally fitted with two small drawers & two dummy drawers, (the knob of one acts as a concealed release for the pen & ink holder).
Very good quality with mahogany secondary timber. Good original revived finish, with original leatherette writing surface. Very useful as a telephone table or as a laptop / iPad desk.
