Antique Australian Colonial Cedar Centre Table

Early 19th Century Australian Colonial Cedar Centre Table with a plain frieze and turned button finials, supported by a turned tapering column with a cedar collar. The quadraform base features grooved decoration to its sides above turned feet with concealed brass castors. The top surface comprises one slab of dense well figured cedar.
Good colour and patina. Closely follows the design from the Thomas King pattern books (see picture from page 394 of the book - Australian Furniture by Fahy & Simpson). Some castors replaced.
